MILITARY FLIGHT SAFETY

UTRS is under contract with the USAF to provide software tools for the rapid analysis and animation of flight data for aggregate trending of mishap precursors, analysis of individual sorties and the evaluation of operational efficiencies. This effort has provided UTRS the opportunity to master the processing of data files for aircraft in the following categories; legacy and new, fighters and transport; helicopters and drones, military and civilian equivalents.

OUR CAPABILITIES

Critical to aviation safety efforts and mishap prevention is the ability to gather, process and analyze large amounts of safety related data in real-time. UTRS provides a user-friendly platform to report and collect data, a cloud computing infrastructure to warehouse and process the data, and an extensive team of aviation experts to analyze and report the data.

UTRS developed analysis software using open source tools and open architecture to support a secure, scalable, web-based system to facilitate the collection, analysis, and visualization of flight data for the U.S. Air Force
The software crunches terabytes of flight data focusing on specific points of interests, exceedances and safety concerns; provides a richer analysis capability by integrating multiple data sources, like METAR weather information, and can feed powerful OTS analysis tools like Tableau and MS PowerPoint.
The software allows analysts to parse the flight data to conduct analyses in an infinite number of areas broken out by time, severity, and risk allowing them to identify mishap precursors for mitigation or risk acceptance in support of mission requirements around the globe.
IRIS is maintained by a mix of skilled software developers, system administrators, and aviation subject matter experts, who also provide comprehensive training and technical manuals to end-users.

OUR MILITARY FLIGHT SAFETY SUPPORT

UTRS literally wrote the book on military flight operational quality assurance (MFOQA) in the United States having been involved with the program since its inception. With decades of working with the complexity of flight and the processing of “big data,” we have the deep understanding to properly classify, analyze and develop methodologies for the mitigation of risk. We support many air-frames and are expanding our MFOQA support to our allies across the globe.
