UTRS Donates to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund

UTRS was deeply saddened by the tragic earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Through employee contributions, coupled with the company's matching donation, UTRS raised more than $7500 for the American Red Cross' relief effort in Japan.

Since the initial earthquake, the Red Cross has provided medical assistance to more than 26,000 people, and is still providing care to both evacuation shelters and affected communities. It continues to improve conditions at the evacuation centers by focusing on improving hygiene, increasing privacy and creating more family spaces.

"UTRS feels compelled to provide aid and resources to those in the Pacific suffering from this devastating disaster. The generosity and compassion of our employees for others is greatly appreciated. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility program, we believe in helping others in need," said Albert Zalcmann, UTRS President.
